I've a dream
" I have a dream that one day,
one day,
the oppressed aren't oppressed anymore,
the vulnerable aren't vulnerable anymore,
I've a dream,
dream of a world where we preach humanity irrespective of religion and caste ,
where we enjoy our rights and let others enjoy the same,
where we welcome dissent as equally as we welcome acceptance,
where we're way ahead of our age-old stereotypes,
In a world where we all are raising our voice to save the mother nature, save the ecosystem. Wow what an irony is it in having being failed to even save a part of ourselves ?
Yet again! Yet again !
This world, which has a unparalleled history of being brutal towards the marginalized and misogynist towards the women needs to be changed. "

Hey everyone ! This comes after having been exposed to an era where every day, every hour a girl becomes a victim of such heinous and shameful crime , dalits and the minorities are manhandled to death for having been accused of cow slaughtering without a proper investigation which by the way may have a possibility of being absolutely fictitious , where rape and conviction follows a paralleled path.
Do you think it's education where we fail as a society ? Well , according to me education can never be a sole reason for it. It's obviously the cumulative effect of lack of education, mindset and the society where we've been brought up. An uneducated person can equally be tolerant, welcoming differences and can be equally a feminist as any other feminist out there.
I've come across people with highly dignified academic record yet struggling with an ill chauvinistic mindset, thinking of themselves being superior just because either they're a "MAN" or do they belong to some upper brahmanical clan.
The day when we start teaching boys at our home, alma matter of how to not be a chauvinistic pig, when we question the whereabouts of our boys after 8pm, to teach them *not to rape* as frequently as we teach our girls *not to stay out late at night*, when we start accepting girls of their own identity rather than imposing gender stereotypes on them of how to sit, how to talk , how to behave, not to smile at a boy as it's a clear indication of intentive arousal. Maybe that day, that day we'll be able to walk home freely by ourselves not having to care of what pm or am is it. Also, according to me not every women is a feminist and not every man is a misogynist. It's just that how we all come together as a society, making it save for everyone :)

DeleteSad reality of our society.. well said on point..biggest reason behind all this i think is lack of education. Parents must discuss all such thing rather than ignoring..!!
